progressive nonprofit.
..and we
think you should like what we like.
Vision...
As a professional company, Hubris Productions will continue to grow and strive for excellence in each facet of our company. We will accomplish the following goals:
- Provide participants with an outlet for creative energies.
- Explore human diversity, create opportunities for the expression of cultural and social perspectives, and encourage tolerance.
- Spark and continue a passion for the performing arts.
- Engage and encourage artists without dictating.
- Create better art and find ways to make better art happen.
- Interact with communities in order to create a greater rapport between our company and patrons.
- Use our professional ensemble as teachers and mentors in theatre.
The outlook of Hubris Productions is ambitious and will be achieved by our unified passion for theatre. Hubris will be a permanent fixture in Chicago theatre as a place for both audiences and artists seeking diverse points of view on the world. We will be known for our creative and inspiring work where artists feel safe to create and audiences feel the power of those creations and feel inspired to act on it. Hubris Productions will be a constant and contributing force to the community's personal development.
Values...
The members of Hubris Productions believe everyone has a responsibility to give back to the community. We strive to exhibit this philosophy through the work we present; we also demonstrate it through our commitment to donating a portion of the proceeds from each production. The designated charity is selected by the company in advance of and in relation to each production. This information is then shared with audiences, along with an invitation to join us in supporting a worthy cause.
